Abstract

As a Chinese historical cultural heritage, the culture of “rites”, with its pro-found connotation, not only embodies the Chinese traditional values of the nation, but also exchanges and blends with the traditional Western thoughts and values in a global perspective, thus deeply influencing the lifestyles and behavioral norms of the Chinese and Western nations. In the context of the new era of curriculum ideological and political education, taking Xi Jinping’s cultural thought as a guide, the integration of the culture of “rites” into the curriculum of universities is not only a positive practice of “fostering virtue through education”, but also a “second combination” of Marxist ideology and traditional Chinese culture, the realistic goal of the new cultural form.
