Abstract

Image processing model is composed by four main steps: preprocessing, image segmentation,
relevant characteristics’ extraction and learning. Image processing model can be applied to several
scopes. Particularly on nanometric field, preprocessing image step can help to characterize zinc oxide
thin films’ surface in order to support subjective characterization made by experts.
